What a grounds contract covers

We agree a visit schedule for the year and price the whole thing as one annual figure, invoiced monthly. A standard schedule includes:

  • Grass cutting with push, roller, ride-on or tractor-mounted mowers; strimming and edging
  • Hedge cutting — laurel, leylandii, whatever the height or condition — and shrub bed pruning on a seasonal rotation
  • Weed control on beds, paths and car parks by our own licensed groundsmen, mechanical and pesticide
  • Leaf clearance in autumn; litter picking on every visit
  • Hard surfaces — sweeping, moss treatment and pressure washing so gullies stay clear and block paving doesn't lift
  • Reporting — damaged fencing, blocked drains or trip hazards flagged before they become your problem

Sites we look after

Industrial estates and business parks around Swindon (including GS Yuasa at Ignition Park), school grounds, retirement and managed housing schemes for managing agents, and the shared areas of residential estates. If you manage more than one site we'll price them together.

Winter, storms and extras

Gritting, snow clearance, fallen trees and flood clean-up can be added to a contract or called off as needed — we react quickly to put the premises back the way it should be. Larger jobs such as turfing, fencing and planting schemes are quoted under landscaping.

Why clients switch to us

Usually because the last contractor stopped turning up in August, or because grounds and cleaning were with two firms and one was always blaming the other. We do both on a single contract and a single invoice.

Questions we get asked

How often do you visit?

Typically fortnightly through the growing season (March to October) and monthly through winter, but the schedule is agreed per site and written into the contract. Litter picking happens on every visit.

Do you use licensed weed control?

Yes. Our groundsmen hold spraying certificates and offer both mechanical and pesticide weed control for beds, paths, car parks and gravel areas, so drains stay clear and surfaces don’t lift.

How is grounds maintenance priced?

As one fixed annual figure covering the agreed schedule, invoiced in twelve equal monthly payments. Extras like gritting, storm damage or clearances are quoted separately or called off as needed.

Do you look after residential estates for managing agents?

Yes — shared grounds, car parks and communal areas for managing agents, housing providers and retirement schemes are a large part of what we do, often combined with communal cleaning on one contract.

What equipment do you use?

Push, roller and ride-on mowers, tractor-mounted equipment for large areas, hedge cutters, strimmers and knapsack sprayers. All operated by trained, directly employed staff — not subcontractors.
